What a goofy answer that was. There are plenty of places in South West Michigan.
Try this site, for example or google "New Buffalo Vacation Rentals" or "Grand Haven Vacation Rentals"

There's no summer homes on Lake Michigan, we have condos on Michigan Ave. I'm not sure as far as the renting processes go, but the internet is the key to everything, look into it if you're serious.
