how long does it take for USPS to deliver from Gurnee,IL to Chicago,IL?

I dropped my blackberry on the superman ride and they told me they mailed it out on August 5 but i need it b4 i go out of town on they 6 do yu think it will be here?

you will never get mail in one day...even in the same town. it first gets picked up and processed in gurnee, then shipped to the central processing facility in desplaines, then to chicagos main post office, then your local post office, then in the city the mail goes in those little green mail boxes that we cant access which is where your local delivery man picks it up on your block and puts it in your box. the city of chicago is also known as the worst postal system in the us so you can always add an extra day to deliveries in the city compared to anywhere else. it will be at least three days unless six flags mailed it express which they probably didnt mail it at all, they just told you they would and when you call them they will say "we mailed it, you havent gotten it yet? the post office must have lost it"

If it was a 1st class letter and it wasn't mailed last thing on the 5th, it should be there today (the 6th).
